I write Fantasy and Speculative Fiction about ordinary people facing extraordinary circumstances which they are woefully unprepared for. 

 If there is one thing I’ve learned about life, it’s that those who must face challenges and dire circumstances are rarely experts. Often, they are ordinary people just trying to do their best. Where is the fun if a hero or heroine just happens to be an expert in their field and that expertise will help them save the world?

That’s why I write about ordinary people facing extraordinary circumstances. The best way to explore that idea is to create fantastical worlds filled with strife and uncertainty where ordinary people rise to the challenge with only their imagination and their passion. 

In order to deal with their situations, my characters often become a bit morally ambiguous, dangerously treading the line between right and wrong or good and evil.
